Obituary of Frances Oshowy-Draper

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Frances Ellen Oshowy‑Draper at the Village at St. Clair on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the age of 93.

Beloved wife of the late Felix “Phil” Oshowy and the late Ellwood “Al” Draper.

Loving mother of Paula Colston, Kurt Oshowy (Susan Balz), Claudia Oshowy, and Monica (Paul) Geier.

Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Jesse, Kyle (Kassie), Shane, and Sydney, and proud great‑grandmother of Ava and Cora.

Step-sister of Clarence Balz and predeceased by her siblings Joan, William, and Bud. Frances will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She will be remembered for her more than 30 years of dedicated service with Bell Canada in the Traffic Department. Frances loved her family dearly and enjoyed crocheting, solitaire, and crossword puzzles.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel on Sunday, January 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by a service at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow. A private interment will take place at a later date at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ memory to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
