Obituary of Rosalie Schlosser

SCHLOSSER, Rosalie "Rosina" Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family, on January 12, 2026 at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, at the age of 90. Beloved partner of 30 years to Theodore "Ted" McNeil, Cherished aunt to Nancy Dufour, Linda Pursel, and late Kelly Rorai and surviving husband Dan. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Dear sister in-law to Joe McNeil and late wife Nancy, and Annie Dragicevic. Predeceased by her parents Jozsef and Julia Schlosser. Rosalie was a treasured and loved member of the McNeil family. She will be sadly missed by her dear friend, Jennifer Soulard, and her many extended work family at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital. Rosalie was a woman of extraordinary strength, resilience, kindness and faith with a positive outlook on life. She demonstrated a passion and love for animals, whether it was fur or feathers, and was known to be an avid knitter who donated many items to the Downtown Mission. Rosalie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as spending time with her cherished fur babies "Wolfy" and "Princess and playing cards with friends and family. She adored gardening and was a slot machine enthusiast. Rosalie was a retired employee of Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital with 47 years of dedicated service. A heartfelt and sincere thank you to Rosalie's family, friends and neighbours for their care, support and companionship over the years. Many thanks also to the staff at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (3 South) and Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus for their compassionate care provided to Rosalie. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (CENTRAL CHAPEL), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. then in procession to St. Theresa Church (1991 Norman Rd. Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Rosalie, memorial donations may be made to Hotel -Dieu Grace Healthcare (Mental Health) or Windsor-Essex County Humane Society.
