Obituary of Charles "Bill" William Whitehead Sr.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charles William Whitehead Sr. Aka. “Bill” on January 8, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Loving husband to his wife Betty of 61 years. Beloved father to Lynn (Dale) Pike, Sandra, Charlene (Stephen) Fraser, Sharon (Brian) Garrett, Beth (Damien) Kyle, Bill (Nicole), and Karen (Jim) Clarke. He was an adored grandfather to 26 grandchildren, and great-grandfather to 30. Survived by his brothers Benny and Leo, and his Sister Kathleen. Reunited with his brothers and sister Donald, Robert, Harvey, and Diane. He will forever be missed by his loving family and many friends. Bill was known for his incredible memory of birthdays. Once you told him, he never forgot. He had a silly sense of humor. Once you started talking on the phone with Bill, you could never get him off. Bill was always excited to get the newest phone book and read cover to cover. Above all else, he loved the family more than anything and made sure to put them first. A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-25-7234) on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Visitation will continue at St. Theresa’s Church (1991 Norman Rd.) on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County.
