Obituary of Gaetane Menard (nee Dupuis)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81 on January 7, 2026. Beloved wife of 47 years to Tony. Reunited with her first husband, Gerald Renaud.

Dear sister of Gerard (late Reggie), Ida (late Dave), Denise (late Ernie), Rheal (Linda) and sister-in-law of Shirley (late George). Predeceased by her parents, Armand and Helena Dupuis, and siblings Fernand, Benoit, Aline (Clement), Rita (Melvin), Cecile (Lawrence), Hugette (Laurie), Guy (surviving Judy), Paul, sister-in-law Gail, and brother-in-law Bob. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Gaetane was the heart and soul of her family. She was their matriarch, their anchor, their light. To know her was to feel the warmth of pure love. She walked this earth like an angel, her presence a gentle blessing to all who crossed her path. Her kindness knew no bounds, her spirit radiated grace, and her smile could turn the darkest day bright.

Gaetane lived for family, cherishing every gathering as a celebration of love and togetherness. Her door was never closed, her arms always open. In her embrace, everyone found belonging. Though she has left this world, her legacy of compassion and joy will echo forever in the hearts she touched.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hospice of Windsor for all of their dedicated care and compassion shown to Gaetane.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Prayers at 3:00 pm led by the Catholic Women's League of St. Anne's Church. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:30 am until time of Chapel Service at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
