Obituary of Nicola "Nick" Savoni

86 years.  Passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 5, 2026.  Beloved husband of the late Fabrizia (nee Aversa) (1995).  Loving Papino to Marisa (Tony) Tedesco, Domenica Savoni and Rosa (Sam) Scala.  Cherished Nonno to Rino (Jodi) Tedesco, Tina (Andrew) Kurek, Luca (Elisha) Tedesco, Tavio Scala, Leah Scala and Giuliano Geloso.  Cherished Nonno Nick to Roman, Julian, Nicolas, Lorenzo and Dominic.  Nick will be sadly missed by many brothers, sisters, brother’s and sister’s in law, nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Italy. 

Nick was an avid gardener.  He was very proud of growing his own fruits & vegetables. He loved to spend many hours in his beautiful garden and then share the goodness.  He was also a skilled carpenter & cabinet maker, master of his craft, who always worked hard to provide for his family.  Nick was a longtime member of the Giovanni Caboto Club and the Ciociaro Club.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.  Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
