Obituary of John Charles Russell Oliver

With deepest love, our family announces the sudden passing of John Charles Russell Oliver on December 31, 2025 at the age of 79. Predeceased by his loving parents Anne (1978) and Bob (1986). Proud and loving father of Julie (Kaylee), Heather (Tony), Susan (Luke), and John (Alissa). Loving grandfather to Dane (Alley), Luke, Grace, Markus, Christian, Aaron, and Riley.

John lived a full life with many interests. He was actively involved in the church community of Holy Name of Mary Parish. John loved sports and proudly coached many young athletes in baseball and hockey, specifically spending seven years coaching with the Windsor Minor Hockey Association.

John was deeply empathetic to those less fortunate throughout his life and gave to those in need. John volunteered regularly with Meals on Wheels, and those experiencing grief and loss. During his travels, John would often come home with an empty suitcase, giving away his own belongings to those who needed them.

John will be remembered as a loving, kind, and gentle man. Most of all, John loved his family and considered his children his greatest accomplishment. He will be deeply missed.
