Obituary of Joan Mary Emery (nee Rupert)

Joan Mary Emery (nee Rupert), born June 5, 1939, passed away peacefully at the age of 86. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Daniel Emery, and her parents, Mary and Cecil Rupert.

Joan was a cherished sister to Roy Rupert (Sue), Nancy Dupras (deceased, Jim), Cecil Rupert (deceased, Annette deceased), and Richard Rupert (deceased, Margo). A loving aunt and great-aunt, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be remembered by many.

She is survived by her three daughters: Wendy Ouellette (Richard Guilbeault), Channy Emery (Mike Bessette, deceased), and Shilynn Emery. Joan was a proud grandmother to three granddaughters: Danielle Ouellette (Craig Turner), Amanda Pillon (Jamie), and Brittney Ducharme. She delighted in her role as "GG" to Tyler, Quinn, Joseph, Xavior, Jaxson and Carter.

In addition to her immediate family, Joan was a beloved step-mom to Maurice (Julia), Danny (deceased, Kathy deceased), Sandy Pajot (Mike), Joan Ann Emery (Marty Gravel), Yvonne St. Loiuse (deceased, Dan), and Louise and a cherished step-grandmother and step-GG to many.

Known affectionately as the "Energizer Bunny," Joan was a vibrant spirit who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her selflessness and kindness made her the absolute best mom anyone could ask for, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Joan's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Visitation will be held on December 22nd 2025 at Windsor Chapel - South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7236) from 3pm-5pm, and 7pm-9pm. Visitation will continue the following day, December 23rd 2025 from 10am until time of Chapel Service at 11am. Cremation to follow.
