Obituary of Nancy Lee Benoit
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Lee Benoit on December 14, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
With her tireless fight complete, Nancy is now reunited with her beloved mother, Ursula (née Savoie), who passed on December 7, 2025, as well as her father, Clifford (1992), and her dear brother, David (2001). She will be lovingly remembered by her many Benoit and Savoie cousins.
Nancy enjoyed a long and successful career with Canadian Customs, serving proudly as a customs officer until her retirement after many years of dedicated service. She was a devoted member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261 in Tecumseh for 48 years and spent countless hours supporting the Poppy Fund, a cause close to her heart. In her leisure time, Nancy was an enthusiastic fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Tigers, following her teams with passion and loyalty.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the compassionate nurses and staff at Windsor Hospice, as well as the caring team at Shoreview at Riverside Retirement Home, whose kindness and dedication provided comfort and support during Nancy’s final journey.
Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Windsor-Essex Cancer Society or the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
