Obituary of Dr. Denis Jerome Page
Dr. Denis Jerome Page, lovingly known as “Doc”, was born on December 23, 1949, and passed peacefully on December 13, 2025. Denis leaves behind his devoted wife of 52 years, Janis Page (Bessette), his beloved daughter Jessica Bakic and son-in-law George Bakic. He was a proud and loving Papa to Stella, Michael and Nikola Bakic, who brought him endless joy and pride. He will also be missed by Baby, his adorable furry sidekick.
He is survived by his siblings: Cathy Walling (late Hugh), Kevin Page (Yvette), and Elise Daragon (Bob). Denis was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his parents, Miriam Page, and Ernie Page, and by his brother, Michael Page. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Donald Bessette (Trish), as well as by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family.
Denis attended the University of Toronto, where he fulfilled his calling by becoming a dentist. He proudly practiced dentistry for 40 years, truly loving his profession and the people he served, who knew him as “Painless Page”. He cherished the many memories made alongside the wonderful staff who worked with him throughout his career.
Outside of work, Denis enjoyed an active life. He played hockey and baseball, acting as President of The Windsor Chiefs, loved to golf, being a life-long member of Beach Grove, was an avid member of The Windsor Sportsman’s Club, and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, where he formed many lifelong friendships.
In his final days, Denis leaned on the support and friendship of Mike Klimkowski and Nereo Bagatto. The family extends heartfelt thanks to you both for your kindness and for helping him with anything he needed. A special thank you is also extended to Jessica from Hospice, whose compassion ensured Denis received the care he truly deserved, as well as to all the Hospice staff for their unwavering support and kindness. The family is deeply grateful to Hailey, his palliative nurse, for her exceptional care, warmth and help while Denis was at home.
Denis will be remembered for his dedication, big personality, love of life, and the deep impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, friendship, and devotion to family will live on forever.
