Dear Albert:
I had to do a double take when I came across this obit. The name was the same but I haven't seen you since high school. But the eyes are the same. I've thought of you off and on throughout the years, wondering where you went, how you were making your way through life. Somebody told me you went to Toronto after Kennedy. I was sad you didn't say goodbye. We spent a lot of time talking under that plane in the park. We both played flute, I remember helping you with a few pieces. You just wanted to play well enough to pass Shank's class. For that while you were like a brother to me. We were both facing difficulties with social acceptance and wondered how we were ever going to make it to adulthood. I guess we both did. I've looked for you, I've asked about you, but nothing ever came about.
You were a good guy, Albert. I know you grew up to be a good man. I hope you had people in your life that knew that part of you, and i hope you had the courage to show them that part of you.
Rest well, my old friend. I hope you are at peace now, and I hope I see you some day.
Anna
