Obituary of Agnes Juba
Mary Agnes (Agnes) Juba, age 91, of Windsor Ontario, passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus on November 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Agnes and her husband Matt (predeceased) lovingly raised 5 children, welcomed their spouses and took great joy in their grandchildren: son Randy Juba and Vicki; daughter Pam Howick and Wyatt - grandchildren Vanessa and Jessica; son Mathew Juba (predeceased) and Betty - grandchildren Angela, John and Michael; daughter Linda Glabb and Bill (predeceased) - grandchildren Jason and Erica; daughter Karen Juba-Jelusic and Boris - grandchildren Zachary and Sonja. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.
Agnes was known for her hospitality, her zest for life, and her love of family, friends and Euchre. She was devoted to her sister, Theresa (predeceased). Her home was always open to family and friends. She was an amazing cook and baker, known for her pierogi and butter tarts. She was a great story-teller and often regaled with her stories of the many enjoyable family trips out West to visit the Juba family. She was passionate about line dancing and playing cards of any kind.
Agnes was an entrepreneur, having her own beauty salon (Aggie’s) in Sandwich West. She was well-loved by her customers. She was an active member of St. Mark’s by the Lake Church. She and Matt moved to Emery Park in 1996; she loved the lakeside community and was President of Emery Park for several years.
She will be missed. She lived a long and fruitful life. Her spirit, good will and determination will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at the Windsor Chapel Banwell Funeral Home, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Marks by the Lake (150 St. Mark's Road, Tecumseh) from 11:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
