Obituary of Victor Yorke

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Victor Yorke. Victor passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of Brouillette Manor.  
 
Victor was born to Mrs Gemima Yorke and Mr Albert Benjamin Yorke in Sekondi Takoradi, West Ghana. He relocated to Canada where he established the duration of his later years.  
 
Victor was a quiet, meek man who loved God, loved his family and loved his team (The Detroit Lions). One of his greatest joys in life was music. He took delight in a plethora of genres but specifically African tunes and R&B soul.  

He truly enjoyed family get togethers especially his annual combined birthday celebration BBQ. He took great pride in making sure everyone was always happy.  
 
Victor will be missed by his children Eudora, Bo (Jen), Joel (Tamara) & Victoria (Andrew). He will be forever loved and cherished by his wife, Gifty Yorke. Grandpa “Papa” will be missed greatly by his wonderful grandchildren Alyssa, Jaylan, Cameron, Brooklyn, Chandler, Xzayvier & Mireya. Also, additional close family members will forever cherish him in their hearts. We sincerely thank the Owusu/Smith family for the love, care, and friendship they gave him.  
 
Victor leaves behind his sisters Adelaide & Dorothy, his nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his sister Regina & Daughter Deanna.  
 
We lost a great man, but our loss is Heaven's gain! He will forever live on in our hearts and in the sweetest memories. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on November 20, 2025, at Windsor Chapel Banwell (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) from 11:30 am until 1 pm. Cremation will take place following.
