Obituary of Luis Mosquera

It was unexpected, and a shock to us that LUIS MOSQUERA would end his life among us so soon. He passed away early on Monday morning at the Oullette Campus. Luis leaves behind his amazing wife of 25 years, Sophie, his brothers Chester, William and Joffre. Predeceased by his parents Segundo and Olga.

Luis was happiness and joy and joke in male human body. He loved everybody and talked to everybody all the time. He loved his Lord Jesus and was not afraid to share it. He was a self-thought guitar player and brightened the days of Nursing Home residents and staff.

Luis was gifted with his hands and his imagination. He crafted boats so detailed that you couldn’t stop admiring them. He had a sowing workshop in his basement. Along with Sophie they enjoyed gardening.

Luis and Sophie were great hosts. Their house was your house.

Along with Sophie and his family, we all grieve his loss.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7235) on Friday November 14th, 2025 from 11am until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1pm, officiated by Pastor Bill.
