Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Windsor's Volunteers and Family extends our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Dr Colin Jones. Dr. Jones was a strong and prominent child advocate, a successful businessman and a beloved family man. His life of giving and caring through child advocacy will continue in memoriam as the family has graciously chosen Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Windsor to be his legacy charity in support of our work to help needy children and end child bedlessness. He will be very sorely missed but never forgotten. God Bless

Dear Aunty Kathy, Debbie, Jack, Della, Chad and Dylan, We send you love in this very difficult time. I have many fond memories of all the family time together with the Jones Family as we were growing up. I picture Uncle Colin's sparkling eyes and smile as he teased us, and love-filled hugs for all the family. I remember his love of Star Trek and Elvis, and the many times he stayed with us when he was working on his degree at The University of Western Ontario. He is very missed. Uncle Colin had a powerful presence, vibrant charm and clever wit that will be missed be all that knew him. His love for music and football was only surpassed by his complete devotion to his family. Dr. Colin Jones, a remarkable man. Colin spent his life continually making the quality of life better for himself and his family. Growing up in Wales he completed Grammar School and trained in the British Social Service. With a family to provide for he was looking for more opportunities and then decided to emigrate to Canada. Again, in Canada, he was determined to further develop his career and provide a better life for the family. With hard work, determination, and perseverance, Colin was rewarded with a Ph.D. and became Dr. Colin Jones. But through all this, his family came first. He was a pillar of strength and was always there to support them and help wherever he could. Health concerns never stopped this effort. He was a truly remarkable man, and I am proud to call him my Brother-in-law.

When i think of my uncle Colin Jones, I think of how proud he was of our Welsh heritage, how he loved the Beatles and the Wrexham football team. I remember his wit and him teasing my sisters and I as children. I remember how he loved a good debate and challenge. I heard stories from my mom about her mischievous little brother , when they were children. He was always an active audience member for the Christmas plays, that my cousins, Debbie and Della and my sisters and I put on for our parents. And I recall joining the family for many dinners when I started univerivrrsity in Windsor. My uncle was a strong presence who loved his family and was there for his daughters, wife and grandson always. Seeing him with Dylan was heartwarming and they were so alike in many ways. I am so glad to have spent some time with him again over the last several years yet so sad to say goodbye. Uncle Colin is loved and will be missed by all. Dr. Jones was truly one of a kind, a remarkable figure whose presence brought so much light into the lives of those around him. Even though he may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on through his two daughters, Deborah and Della, his wife Kathleen, and his grandson Dylan. Anyone who had the honour of knowing him was touched by his friendship. His kindness, compassion, and ability to empathize drew people in, while his talent for storytelling, sharp wit, and intelligence created deep and lasting bonds. Dad, I love you more than words can say and am going to miss you each day of my life…it just won’t ever be the same, but I promise to look after mum, Della and Dylan and make you proud always! Everything you did was for us and Jack and Chad too….it will never be forgotten and we will keep remembering your jokes, listen to your music and Dylan and Della will be footie fans forever!
