Obituary of Weili Xu

Weili Xu, age 63 passed away peacefully with her family by her side at The North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Cerkauskas for over 30 years and proud mother of Cyrus and Sean. Dear daughter to parents Zhuichan Ma and Changping Xu and loved sister to Weiguang and to brother Weike. She obtained her Master’s in Chemistry at Brock University and worked initially at Environment Canada at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters then at Agriculture Canada at Vineland and at Harrow in analytical chemistry in fungicide residues, soybean quality and soil analysis. She authored one crime novel and a best-selling travel guide concerning Taiwan, both in Mandarin. Her joy and hobby was gardening especially perennial flowers and creating the best Chinese dishes for her family. She also enjoyed travel to distant countries with her family as a way of fostering an appreciation of different cultures in her young sons.
