Obituary of Rodica Ileana Dinu (nee Deleanu)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodica Dinu at the age of 74 years.

She is reunited with her husband Horia (2018).

Rodica, Mom, “Buna” whichever role she occupied in your life; was a generous, strong, and loving woman. She was the type to put everyone’s happiness above hers, and radiated joy, kindness, and smiles to every person she encountered.

Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Jaxson and Reginald, with one more grandson on the way. The relationship that she had with them was as genuine as a bond could be. Their smiles, their laughs, were unmatched. “Buna,” as she was affectionally called, would never miss a family event, putting many miles on her vehicle going back and forth to London on the 401. She made memories with them that will remain for a lifetime.

Rodica was a bright spot in the lives of those around her. She was a social butterfly who would make friends with anybody. Among them were those she made while coaching and playing handball for many years. Her team and players became like a second family to her, and the people, the teamwork, and the close relationships would create unforgettable memories in her daughter Cristina’s life. She also found family with her many clients working as a massage therapist, creating many lifelong friends and connections.

Rodica is survived by her daughter Cristina (Kyle), grandsons Jaxson and Reginald, her sister Cecilia Deleanu, nephew Horia, and brother and sister-in-law Cornel and Rodica. She is predeceased by her parents Ruxanda and Gheorghe Deleanu, and her mother and father-in-law Vasile and Maria Dinu.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7236) on Friday November 14th 2025 from 4pm-7pm. Visitation will continue Saturday November 15th 2025, from 11:30am until the time of Chapel Service at 12:30pm. Cremation to follow.
