Where to begin. So so many memories growing up with Rosie and her family. My favourite thing to do from a wee child would be going to the Hennin’s on Friday nights. Our parents would play cards and we would hang out all night watching late night tv, endless snacks from the extra special huge snack pantry and of course putting on a show selling tickets to our parents. Sometimes it was a dance routine sometimes a roller skating one. If we were lucky enough we would get a sleep over! Rosie’s birthday presents were always the best. She would wrap them in newspaper comics and finish with candy. Her gifts were always fun and never practical! lol one year I got wonder woman cuffs and headband! Rosie always spoiled everyone! Her Money cakes were a core memory! Visiting her closet was always fun. She had stockpiles of just in case gifts!
If you weren’t lucky enough to get that sleep over you would be blessed with church in the morning and a breaky at blackies. ( if we were quiet enough in church)
If you weren’t in the room with Rosie you could always hear her and her laugh was infectious! Her love for her family was undeniable and I will never forget her!
It makes me smile knowing she cared a lot about me as well. Even in her last days on a visit at Malden Park she perked up and smiled. Thank you Rosie for all the core memories ❤️
God rest your soul. I know you are singing with the Angels.
