Dear Sandy, Kathie, Darcie and Linda,
Your mother, Zia Mary, was the heart of grace and gentleness — a calm and elegant presence in the joyful noise of our extended Italian family. I always thought she was regal, like a queen, with her quiet strength, kindness, and poise. Her laughter, her warmth, and her gift for making herself heard above the drama will always be remembered. I will never forget her delicious cooking, her easy humor, and the love she shared around Nonna Solina’s Sunday table. It feels like the end of an era — she will be missed.
With love and sympathy, Cindy Masone (Mariotti)
