Obituary of Walter "Ron" Hryniw
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Walter Ronald Hryniw on October 16, 2025 at the age of 53. Predeceased by parents Ann (2015) and Donnie (2012) Hryniw. Proud and loving father to Taylor (Jason), Jordyn (CJ), Chase, and Grace (Josh). Brother to Debbie, David, Donnie, Dan (2024) Trombley, Barb-Bastien-Gaughan, Mark (1994), John, and Bobby Hryniw. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and loyal companion Chewy. Ron worked as a roofer until 2013 when he suffered a life-changing injury resulting in a brain injury. The love of Ron’s life was his children, and he was looking forward to one day becoming a Papa. Ron loved taking Chewy for long walks, he enjoyed sitting out on the porch where he could have his coffee and enjoy sitting and talking with the neighbors. He was a leaf fan to the end, win or lose. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always willing to help anyone in need. He was also known for his stubbornness, bad jokes, and never backing down from a challenge, always being there to defend a friend in need. He was also known for his terrible dancing which he called the Ukrainian “2-Step” or the “Hryniw shuffle”. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by anyone that knew him. A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. As per Ron’s wishes, cremation will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends are invited to join in a celebration of life at the International Tavern "IT" (928 Drouillard Rd) at 6:30 pm. In memory of Ron, donations may be made to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
