Obituary of Mildred "Millie" Laura Rounding (nee Mailloux)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred Rounding, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 88. Millie was born on November 10, 1936, to Lucina and Albemie Mailloux.

Cherished wife of Maxwell 'Mac' Rounding, on February 6, 1954, together building a beautiful life, filled with warmth and joy. Millie was a proud mother to her two children, Joy (David) and Brian (Gail). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, David (Kristine), Darryl (Jerralyn), Talia, Nicole, and Kendra (Locke), as well as her great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Lucas, Calla, Diana, Vanessa, and Lenna.

Millie was a dear sister to Jeanne, Rose-Anne, James, and Annette, and she was predeceased by her siblings Irene and Robert.

Known affectionately as 'Chilly Millie,' she had a passion for life, and her love for cooking, gardening, and storytelling created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Heron Terrace for their exceptional care and kindness, not only to Millie but to the entire family during her time there. Your compassionate support will be fondly remembered.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Windsor-Essex. In honour of Millie’s wishes a private family cremation has taken place.
