Obituary of Nancy Ann Roland

Nancy Ann Roland (née Begovic)

March 25, 1926 - October 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we celebrate, at 99 years old, the peaceful passing of Nancy Ann Roland (née Begovic).

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, James Roland (1992).

Dear mother of three sons: Randy (1980), Rick (2011), and Darcy (September 17, 2025), whom she now joins in eternal rest. Darcy's loyalty to his mother was unmatched-a true reflection of the devotion and pure love that Tikamama left everywhere she went.

Cherished grandmother to Amanda Roland (Steve Roes) and Mellissa Roland (Dave Belanger). Nancy will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren, Cynthia and Cooper. She was predeceased by her dear sister Mary Gasparovic (2017) and brother-in-law Mark Gasparovic (1983).

Nancy is survived by her niece Francine Riccardi (Tony) and their daughters Nicole, Kelly, and Brianne, and her nephew Joe Gasparovic (Jan) and their children Miranda, Mark, Mallory, and Mitch.

Nancy spent many of her golden years at Chartwell Oak Park, LaSalle where she met many kind residents and staff. From the family, we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Extendicare Southwood-Lakes for their compassion and quality care.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234).

A Chapel Service will be held at 7:00 pm at this location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. At Nancy’s request, cremation will follow.
