Obituary of Diane Carr

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Carr at 63 years of age. Beloved daughter of the late John Carr (2008) and the late Germaine (Nantais) Carr (1997). Loving sister of Caroline (late Howard) Stallard, Joseph (April) Carr, Pamela (Brad) Benetau, and Michael (Michele) Carr. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Diane also had 2 daughters. Knowing she was unable to care for them, she gave them the best life they could have by placing them up for adoption. She loved and thought of them everyday. She will be especially missed by her friend, John. Through all of her struggles, she kept her gentle loving spirit, never complaining. Family was important to her and she kept us close to her. She gathered us together to celebrate birthdays by meeting for coffee, and more recently going to the Leamington Raceway. She loved animals, electronics and sports, and she was a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She had many friends and will be sadly missed by those lives she has touched.

Special thanks to the ACT team, especially Dawn, Kristen and Erin for the decades of support and care provided. Because of their care, Diane had her best life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519 253-7235). A memorial Mass will be held on September 20th, 2025 at St. Alphonsus Parish (85 Park St E) at 11am, with interment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery (1120 Lesperance Rd.).
