MERCER- Marilyn Lily "Cookie"(Nee Robertson)

Passed away peacefully on August 15, 202 5 at Broulliette Manor with family by her side at the age of 78 years. Dear mother of Kenneth (Deceased), Derek (Lisa) and Joe. She will be always remembered by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Julie Robertson. Dear sister of the late Gail, Barb, Peter, Diane, Glen and survived by Guy, Nancy, Hal and Starr. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. If you knew Cookie, you loved her. If you didn't it was probably you. That is the best way to describe Cookie. She was always there for family, friends or anyone in need. She was an addiction counselor and counselor for many years. In keeping with her love to help anyone she worked for House of Sophrosyne, the Welcome Center, Women's Detox and Casino Windsor. She loved her tea sweets, gardening, going for walks and music (Dancing). Her faith in God was strong and she loved her church family and reading her Bible. She prayed daily for anyone she knew and needed that comfort especially her Brothers, Sisters, Kids, many Grandkids, Great Grandkids. Cookie know she was going home to Heaven and thank God she is fully healed and at peace. It never a surprise to find her tearing down a wall, putting oil in a used car or refurbishing something she bought at a thrift store. Coming from Sydney Nova, Scotia or she would say down home where her heart always was. She loved the outdoors, camping gardening or just enjoying a tea. As per Cookie's wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7235 on Thursday August 21, 2025 from 5 to 8pm with a memorial service at 7:30pm.
