Obituary of Matthew Edward Crosby

Matthew Edward Crosby was the beloved son of Kathy Yancy and Eugene Crosby, and cherished brother to Mitchell, Korey and Kourtney. He was the proud and devoted father of his precious daughter, Alaysia Crosby, who was the light of his life and the joy of his heart. Matthew also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

Matthew was a giant with a gentle soul. A gifted musician, he found joy in playing the drums and piano, creating beats and writing heartfelt lyrics for his songs. He shared his talent as a paid drummer at church, where his music touched many.

In his younger years in Windsor, Matthew was known for his athleticism, especially as one of the fastest runners in track and field and relay events. He also loved basketball and approached every sport with dedication and passion.

Fearless and bold, Matthew was the only one in his household unafraid of animals, and he carried that same courage into every aspect of life. Protective, caring and deeply loyal, he loved with his whole heart and took great pride in the people he loved.

Above all, his greatest treasure in this world was his daughter, whom he loved beyond measure. His memory will live on through the music he made, the love he gave and the lives he touched.

A visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E (519 253-7235) on Saturday August 16th from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm.
