Obituary of Eduardo Gaudario

In Loving Memory of Eduardo Gaudario

October 12, 1940 - August 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Eduardo (Ed) Gaudario on August 4, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

Devoted husband to Adelaida (Dely) for 57 beautiful years, Ed was the steady rock and loving partner in a marriage grounded in strength, humour, and unwavering support. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A proud and dedicated father, Ed raised his children, Lourdes Brothers (Paul), Alex Gaudario (Kristal) and Manuel Gaudario (Stephanie) with wisdom, patience, and quiet strength. His greatest joy came from being “Lolo” to his six grandsons, Jared, Kyle, Nolan, Dylan, Jake and Ryan, who adored him for his cooking, love of playing cards, sense of humour, and endless stories that always ended with laughter.

He emigrated to Canada in 1974 with a dream of creating a better life for his family, which he and Dely were very successful in doing. He is preceded by his sister, Eulalia and his parents, Ciriaco and Felicisima. Loving brother to Jose (Lydia), Norberto (Belen) and Eliseo (Olympia), and the many nieces and nephews.

Ed approached life with humility, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved. Even through his illness, he showed remarkable strength and grace, always thinking of others before himself. He welcomed others into his heart and home, always making sure they were well fed with traditional Filipino meals. Around the table, he proudly shared his stories of growing up in the Philippines, bowling a 279 game, winning at poker or mahjong or being asked to pinch run in the senior baseball league despite being the oldest one on the team.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet dignity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is forever in our hearts, and his love lives on in all of us.
