Obituary of Petar Culumovic

CULUMOVIC, Petar It is with great sadness that the family of Petar Culumovic announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, July 27, 2025. at the age of 95. Petar has found eternal rest alongside his wife, Ana (nee Basic) (2021) of 69 years. He leaves behind his son Duke (Laura);.his grandchildren, Katie (Jeff), Nicole (Mark), Michael (Emily) and his great-grandchildren, William and Max. He will be forever missed by his brother in-law, Jandre (Kata) Basic and close cousins Ivan (Mira) Culumovic and Jure (Ana) Murgic. Petar will be reunited with Josip (Manda) Culumovic, Milan Culumovic, Ivan (Manda) Culumovic and Ivica Pocrnic. He will be lovingly remembered for tending to his large garden, firing up his smokehouse and sharing a shot of rakija with all those dear to him. Petar cherished all his family and friends both in Canada and his homeland, Croatia. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7235 on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers Thursday at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 9:45am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
