Obituary of Aimé Pharand

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès d’Aimé Pharand, qui nous a quittés paisiblement après une vie remplie d’amour, de rires et de dévouement envers sa famille. Il a partagé plus de 56 magnifiques années avec son épouse bien-aimée, Huguette Pharand, et était un père fier de Chantal Pharand-Boivin (Mario Boivin) et Jean-Luc Pharand (Nicolas Tremblay).

Aimé rejoint ses parents Joseph et Rose (Proulx) Pharand, ainsi que ses frères et sœurs : Alcide (Gabrielle), Arthur (Agate), Gérard (Frère jésuite), Fernand (Cécile), Berth Proulx (Georges), Lucienne Paquette (Fred) et Anita Valade (Raymond).

Aimé a travaillé chez Chrysler pendant plus de 30 ans, reconnu pour son grand sens du devoir et son cœur chaleureux. Fidèle amateur de baseball et de hockey, il adorait regarder un bon match à la télévision. Il trouvait du bonheur dans les plaisirs simples : passer du temps dans son jardin, faire du camping, voyager en motorisé et profiter de la nature. Être à l’extérieur était son refuge.

Par-dessus tout, Aimé était un homme de famille dévoué — un père exceptionnel, un mari aimant et une présence douce et rassurante pour ceux qui l’entouraient. Son héritage d’amour, de gentillesse et de soutien inébranlable vivra à jamais chez tous ceux qui l’ont connu.

La famille recevra les condoléances à la paroisse Saint-Jérôme (3739 avenue Ypres) le mercredi 30 juillet 2025 de 10h30 jusqu’à la messe funéraire à 11h. La crémation suivra. Des dons à la mémoire d’Aimé peuvent être faits à la Société Alzheimer de Windsor-Essex. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au salon funéraire Windsor Chapel (519-253-7234). It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aimé Pharand, who left us peacefully after a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Huguette Pharand for over 56 years and was a proud father to Chantal Pharand-Boivin (Mario Boivin) and Jean-Luc Pharand (Nicolas Tremblay). Aimé is reunited with his parents Joseph and Rose (Proulx) Pharand and his siblings Alcide (Gabrielle), Arthur (Agate), Gérard (Jesuit Brother), Fernand (Cécile), Berth Proulx (Georges), Lucienne Paquette (Fred) and Anita Valade (Raymond).

Aimé worked at Chrysler for over 30 years and was known for his strong work ethic and warm heart. A lifelong fan of baseball and hockey, he loved nothing more than watching a good game on TV. He found joy in the simple pleasures-spending time in the garden, going camping, traveling in his motorhome, and being outdoors. Nature was his happy place. Above all, Aimé was a devoted family man-an incredible father, a loving husband, and a steady, gentle presence for those around him. His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will live on in all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at St. Jerome Parish (3739 Ypres Ave.) on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:30am until Funeral Mass at 11am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations in honour of Aimé may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor- Essex. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (519-253-7234).
