Obituary of Mary Anderson Bowen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary “Mae” Bowen (nee Elliott) RN, who left us peacefully on July 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Born in Motherwell, Scotland in 1926, and relocated to Canada in 1953. She was the light of our lives and her love, kindness, and wisdom touched everyone she met. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and GG who always put her family first. Her compassion, generosity and determination will be missed beyond words.

Predeceased by her loving husband Sydney (1996). Survived by her 3 children, Sheila (Warren), Robert, Christine (Tony); Grandchildren, Jacqueline (Wess), Ainsley, Elliott, Belinda, Dylan, and Sydney (Brad); and great-grandchildren, Marceline, Ridley, and Bristol.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3200 Woodland Avenue, Windsor, with visitation prior to the service starting at 9:30 am for family and friends to gather to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church.
