Ron was the epitome of an Officer and a Gentleman. He went about his Ministry to the Ship's Company of HMCS HUNTER in his quiet unassuming manner. He was well respected by all. Dear Gillian and family, we were saddened to hear of you dad's passing and know that our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you. Our first encounter with Archdeacon Ron was as summer congregants at Christ Church Colchester Chapel Services when he filled in for the Minister on vacation. I will always wonder just who was on vacation as his obvious enjoyment of the setting and engagement with us was a joy to share. I was later approached by Archdeacon Ron on behalf on Canterbury College, (which at the time I knew nothing about) for their fund-raising campaign. Needless to say, he found a cheerful giver. The triad was completed when I started attending Church of the Ascension, by then no introduction was necessary. He was a blessing and genuine friend to us, a life well-lived and well-loved. Anne, Tim and Gillian, you have been very much in my thoughts and prayers since I learned of your father's passing from this life. I have held such fond memories of 53 years ago having the privilege of boarding with your family. I never forgot the kindnesses and still can hear the voices of both your mother and father. To Ann, Gilliam and the girls Deborah and I are deeply saddened at the loss of such a shining light in this world of ours. We had so many great trips together and he will always be missed. Jordan, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria, Serbia we had great fun fun as he worked his magic in the order to make the world a better place. We have lost our mentor for the order in Canada and shoes that may never be filled. You will not find a nicer, kinder man and human being on this planet.

This Holy man was one of the finest ,kindest men I have ever met. As a long time Funeral Director in Windsor I had an opportunity to work with him many many times and he was as good as it gets. Sincere in all he did ,and dedicated to his faith and the faith of other's, Archdeacon Ron's holiness always shone through. We shared many stories togerher and he gave me some good advice over the years as well. I will be forever gratefull for knowing this man. He will be missed by many because he touched the lives of so many people. May he rest in peace. Thank You Archdeacon Ron.
