Obituary of Linda Rose Ross

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Rose Ross (nee Taylor), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world suddenly on July 4, 2025, in her hometown of Windsor, Ontario, at the age of 76. Linda was born on February 8, 1949, to her proud parents Alex and Rose Taylor (nee Drouillard).

Linda was the cherished matriarch of her family, a role she embraced wholeheartedly for over three decades during her marriage to her devoted husband, Glenn Ross. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and joy, celebrating 32 wonderful years of love and companionship. Linda's love extended beyond her immediate family, enveloping her children Alex, Mike (Robyn) Dzogola, and her step-children Wayne, Brian, and Kristine (Rick) Ross in a bond that was unbreakable.

As a proud grandmother, she doted on her grandchildren: Jeff (Kristen) Dzogola, Ashley (Quique) Chavez, Douglas, and Samantha (Justin) Dzogola and great-grandchildren DJ and Elena Chavez, They were the light of her life, and she took great joy in watching them grow and flourish. Linda also cherished her late grandson, Nicklas Dzogola, who preceded her.

Linda was also blessed with a close-knit family, including her siblings Jane (Walt) Zahaluk, Janet (Don) Moore, and Mark (Kathy) Taylor. She maintained strong bonds with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, offering her love, support, and humor to all.

Known for her zest for life, Linda found joy in a wide variety of hobbies and interests, including swimming, reading-especially her cherished Nora Roberts books-bowling, and dancing. She was also a proud and loving mother to her fur baby, Enzo, who brought her immeasurable joy and companionship.

In her community, Linda was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion #594, where she served as a bookkeeper, contributing her skills to support fellow veterans. Her commitment to service also extended to the Alzheimer’s Society, where she became a lifetime member, reflecting her compassionate heart and desire to help others. Additionally, she was honored to be part of the clogging hall of fame, a testament to her love for dance and celebration.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Rose Taylor (nee Drouillard), her parents-in-law, Fred and Margaret Ross. Her departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her, but her spirit lives on in the memories shared and the love she so freely gave.
