RUCCOLO, Giovanni (John)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giovanni (John) Ruccolo on July 1, 2025 at the age of 81 years. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years Carolina Ruccolo. Cherished father of Antonella Pelle (Joe), Sabrina McLure (Paul) and Luigi Ruccolo. Adored nonno of Giulia, Nico, Loren, Gianluca and Alex.

Reunited with his parents Luigi and Antonietta Ruccolo and in-laws Giuseppe and Annantonia. Dear brother of the late Nunzio Antonio Ruccolo (Virginia), Anna Maria Muccaccio (the late Nick), the late Nicolina Muccaccio (the late Mike), Itala Muccaccio (the late Domenico), Rita Van Buren (Augustus), and brother-in-law of the late Nicolino Ruccolo. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many family and friends in Windsor, Toronto and Italy.

Born January 28, 1944 in Bonefro, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1956. John was a proud Italian, always sharing stories with his grandchildren of his time growing up in Italy. He was a retiree from Riverside Custom Collision after 43 years of dedicated service and was a proud member of St. Angela Merici Church and the Giovanni Caboto Club. John was an avid gardener and spent much of his time tending to his beloved garden. He had a passion for old cars and loved a good Frank Sinatra song.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at W.R.H., Met. Campus, 6th floor and ICU, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kawala, Dr. Mazzetti, Dr. Anise and nurses Stephanie and Ellie (ICU) for your care and compassion.

Friends will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7235 on Friday, July 4, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 8:15 a.m. in procession from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave., Windsor) for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy and to honour John, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation (2220 Kildare Rd., Windsor, ON, N8W 2X3) or for Masses at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave., Windsor, ON. N9A 1X9).
