Obituary of Gladys Cowin (nee Faircloth)

Gladys passed away peacefully at home at 101 years old, on June 21, 2025. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. Reunited with her beloved husband Harold (2022). Loving mother of Allan (Colleen), Susan (2022), and Patricia (Trish) (Hugh Larmour). Treasured Grandma of Robert, Karen, Melissa, Jennifer, Katherine, and Sarah. Beloved Great-Grandma of Nicholas, Ramsey, Emma, Kaylee, Nathan, Cameron, Chase, Finlay and Violet. Predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Emma Faircloth and siblings Christianna, Jessie, Ernest, Alma, Melbourne, Margaret, Rosina, Freda, and Helen. She is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Gladys had a good sense of humour, loved to watch old movies, but her true passion was the Toronto Maple Leafs. We will treasure our memories and keep you in our hearts until we meet again.

At Gladys’ request, a private family service will take place. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harold, at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235).
