Obituary of Faustino Banut Balino
Faustino “Felix” Balino
February 14, 1942 - June 20, 2025
With deep love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Faustino “Felix” Balino on June 20, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by his devoted family.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Carmelita Javier Balino, whom he affectionately called his Sweetheart and often surprised with flowers. Loving father to the late William John, Don Felix (Mary Grace), George Javier (Deborah), and the late Kimberly Balino. Proud and playful grandfather to Mera Isabel, Ciena Esme, Ella Carmelle, and Isaac Cole, whom he adored dearly.
Felix was born on Valentine’s Day in 1942 in Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines, to the late Luciano and Anacleta Balino. He often shared-with a wink and a smile-that he was “born under a tree,” a fitting story for a man who always found peace in nature, and joy in tending to his garden.
Felix studied Mechanical Engineering at FEATI University before immigrating to Canada, where he worked at AG Simpson for over 30 years. He was a dedicated family man who always put his loved ones first. He was known for being the first one ready for every family outing, the first to make everyone laugh with a cheeky joke, and the first to jump into a game of house tag with his 2 boys in their younger years.
He was a gentle soul with a generous heart, a loyal friend, and a devoted brother to Tomasa Balino (deceased), Reynalda Puzon, Degolacion Sibuma (deceased), Victoriano Balino, Ambrosio Balino, Gerarda Piedad, and Divina Montero. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings-in-law, the Sotto and Kee Families, an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Felix found joy in the simple things-playing cards with his siblings, singing along to every genre of music, and never missing a Sunday with his bowling league. His well-earned trophies still sit proudly on the mantle, reminders of the quiet dedication and playful spirit he brought to everything he did. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for his family.
