Obituary of Rosalie Turner

TURNER, Rosalie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on June 19th 2025 at the age of 80.

Predeceased by her parents Mary (2007) and William (1983) and brother Bill (2016) and also by dearest Aunt Lily Favazza (1986). Survived by sister Virginia Turner and sister-in-law Susan Turner. Aunt to Bill and wife Dawn, Michael Turner and Bonnie Christou and husband Barrie. Great Aunt to Brandon, Taylor, Jeni-Lyn, Bailey and Cody.

Dear cousin of Nick Lore and Louis Lore and wife Eleanor and their children Lou, Rosanne, Mary, Tom and Michael, Verna and Karen Renaud. Cherished lifelong friend of Dawn Case.

Rosalie received her B.A. from the University of Windsor and her MSW from Smith College School of Social Work. She spent more than 40 years working in Social Services as a clinician and Administrator in Child Welfare, Children's Mental Health, Family Services and Developmental Services in both Windsor and Toronto. She was grateful for the many opportunities afforded her and the mentorship and support from friends and colleagues.

Rosalie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and decorating.

The family would also like to thank the amazing nursing staff, team of doctors and volunteers at the Hospice site on Empress for their incredible dedication to care and making Rosalie as comfortable as possible. This team was amazing each and everyday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex County on Empress Road.

Memorial visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E) on Tuesday June 24th 2025 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Parish prayers at 7:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Wednesday June 25th 2025, at 9:00am at St. Alphonsus Church (65 Park Street East). Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Family and friends are requested to sign the book of condolence and share their memories.
