Obituary of Dhuha Jamil

DHUHA Fakhri Jamil Jirjees was born in Baghdad on 12th  May 1975 and was baptized at St Joseph Chaldean Church in Baghdad on 14th July 1975. She died on 8th June 2025 in Windsor, Ontario.

DHUHA was educated in the Mission Secondary School in Baghdad. She graduated with first degree honours as an Engineer in Food Technology from Baghdad University, Agriculture College in 1997. She worked for the Iraqi Middle East Investment Bank, Human Resources Department in Iraq between 1997 and 2007.

She married Nameer Marios Daoud in January 2010 at the St Teresa Chaldean Church in Damascus. She moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada, in 2010 to join her husband. They have 3 children -  Andrew born in 2010, Matthew born in 2011 and Grace born in 2015. She has worked for Rose-land and South Talbot Trail Public Schools in Windsor since 2019.

Both DHUHA’s parents Fakhri and Bernadette, were recently deceased. She leaves behind an older sister Mace, who lives in Jordan and a younger brother, Fady who lives in the USA.

DHUHA dedicated her time in Canada to her children and family. She was kind, quiet, considerate and helpful to everyone around her. She was loved by everyone who knew her, and her caring character will be deeply missed, not only by her family but by everyone who knew her. The memory of Dhuha's ever shiny smile will stay with us forever.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Chaldean Church (686 Marentette Ave. at Wyandotte St. E.). Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Those unable to attend in person can join us via livestream.
