Obituary of Thanh Do Phuong Nguyen

With broken hearts, the family of Thanh Do Phuong Nguyen announce her passing on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the age of 40. Beloved partner of Steve Soulliere. Loving daughter of Thinh Nguyen and Thi Hoa Do. Dear sister of Phuong Thao Nguyen Do.

Thanh was a loving person, a hard worker, a fantastic designer, a wonderful cook, a great dancer, she was beautiful inside and out. Thanh was very smart, funny, compassionate, and resourceful. Thanh could be stubborn at times as she was very strong minded toward what she felt was right and just. Thanh was a food lady, she enjoyed watching food videos all the time to learn new ways to cook for friends and family. Thanh was saving to open her own nail salon business, also watching nail videos and learning about the business every day. Thanh was very religious and loves God. Thanh also loved her dogs - Barbeque and Mila. She always had a smile, even in the worst of times she found ways to smile and be strong. The world needs more people like Thanh, and I understand heaven needs them too.

She lived her life with quiet strength and unwavering love - always putting her family first, and offering her youth, her dreams, and her light in exchange for the well-being of those she held close.

To her siblings, she was not just a sister, but a guardian - a gentle presence who gave without asking, loved without limits, and sacrificed without recognition.

In this life, she gave us everything.

In the next, I promise I will protect her - just as she once protected me.(Thao)

She no longer walks beside us, but she lives on in every act of kindness, every breath of memory, every corner of our hearts.

May her soul find the peace she so selflessly gave to others.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the St. Philip Minh and St. Anne Thanh Vietnamese Roman Catholic Church (1630 Partington Ave.) from 10:00am - 11:00am. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00am.
