Obituary of Ljeposava "Lepa" Kalaver
It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Lepa announce her untimely passing on May 19, 2025, at the age of 64. She passed surrounded by her family and is now joined with her Mother and Father in Eternal Peace. Devoted and beloved mother of Tamara and son-in-law Edinson. Cherished sister of Borka Kojović and her husband Vlado. Loving Tetka of Nikolina Samardžic (Igor) and Irena Kojović (Mario). Great-Tetka of Stefan, Ana, Teodora, Marko and Mila. Predeceased by her parents Dušan (1999) and Draginja (2022). Loved and remembered by her nearest and dearest neighbours.
Lepa retired in 2024 after a distinguished 20-year career as a Registered Nurse, where she was recognized for her dedication, compassion and a strong advocacy for her patients. Her closest coworkers will always remember her for her caring and loving spirit that transcended in her work.
She rejoiced in travelling to her hometown Sarajevo, where she would catch up with dear old friends, revisit nostalgic moments while walking through the marketplace with her daughter. She cherished painting, yellow roses, horse and carriage rides through the snow during Christmas time with Tamara, and made everything around her beautiful.
At Lepa’s request, a private family service has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235).
Her passionate and lively spirit will live on and never be forgotten.
