Obituary of Mihail "Mike" Nichifor

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75, on May 17, 2025. Beloved and devoted husband of Rosana of 37 years. Cherished father of Michael (fiancée Christina) and Jennifer (partner Troy). Dear brother of the late Cristina and surviving husband Daniel Franga, and brother in law of Goghi Itu. Predeceased by his parents Constantin and Maria Nichifor. Mike will be missed by his dear friends Marius and Rodica Neagu, Mihaela and Cristian Ungurelu, Simona and Cristian Botorogea, and Rodica Dinu.

Mike retired from Chrysler after 20 years of dedicated service as a Design Engineer. He enjoyed gardening, computer games-especially Peggle and Call of Duty-fishing, and reading books that ranged from science fiction to history to religious studies. Mike was always ready to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke, bringing laughter to those around him. Above all, his pride and joy was his family, whom he cherished deeply and supported with unwavering love. Mike will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family would like to thank surgeon Dr. Vladislav Khokhotva, ICU Dr. Kyle Fiorini, nurses and staff of Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus, for all their dedicated care and compassion shown to Mike.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
