Obituary of Aurelio Tontodonati

A courageous fighter until the very end, passed away peacefully at 71 years of age, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday May 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and strength.  Through his battle with cancer, he remained a beacon of hope, love and inspiration to all who knew him.  He always put others before himself and touched so many lives with his generous heart.  Aurelio's unwavering love will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna.  Cherished by his children, Sandra Quaggiotto (Paul), Marco (Emily) and Sara DiPonti (Rob).  Proud Nonno (Papa) to Giovanni, Nico, Stella, Enzo, Leo, Tommaso and Tessa.

Reunited with his parents Augostino and Liliana, and in-laws Giovanni and Concetta Simone.  Beloved brother of Teresa (the late Andrea), Graziella and Cesidio, all of Italy.  He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada, Florida and Italy.

Born in Abbateggio Italy, Aurelio was a proud Italian and always kept his heritage alive through his stories and love for spaducci, vino and espresso.  A devoted member and past President of the Verdi Club of Amherstburg, including the folkloristic group.  As well as a member of the Caboto Club and their bocce league.

Thank you to the teams at both London and Victoria Hospitals, Dr. Kanjeekal and the entire WRH Cancer Centre, Tiffany NP and WRH Met ER, Dr. Bergeron.  A very special thank you to Hospice of Windsor for their care and compassion.
