Obituary of Gary Clifford Hennin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Clifford Hennin, on May 1, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 11, 1945, in Tecumseh, Ontario, Gary lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to those around him.

Gary was the cherished son of George and Elizabeth Hennin (nee Garant). He was predeceased by his siblings-Harold, Carl, Norman, George, Doris, and Constance-as well as his beloved son, James Hennin.

Gary married the love of his life, Jo-Ann St. Louis, and together they shared an incredible 55 years of marriage. Their partnership was one built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and endless love. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Laura Rehman (Gerard) and James Hennin.

Gary was not only a devoted family man but also a hardworking individual who dedicated many years of his life to Chrysler Canada. His commitment to his work mirrored his dedication to his family.

A man of diverse interests, Gary found joy in many hobbies. He was an ardent fan of Elvis Presley, spending countless hours enjoying the music of the King. He cherished quiet moments spent solving crossword puzzles or entertaining himself with scratch tickets, which added a little thrill and excitement to his days.

In addition to his passions, Gary was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, where he contributed to his community and made lasting friendships. His faith and values were deeply rooted in his character, and he exemplified kindness and compassion.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jo-Ann, his devoted daughter, Laura, and son-in-law, Gerard. He also leaves behind his brother Larry Hennin, sister-in-law Rosie Hennin, and brothers-in-law Carl Carter and Leo St. Louis (Liza), along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Gary's memory.
