Obituary of Deanna Turton

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother Deanna, on April 7, 2025 at the young age of 62. For those who knew her she will be remembered as an independent, strong, bold, and brave woman. Loving wife to Derek, proud mother to her beautiful daughters Paige, (Steve, children Nash and Genna), Taylor, (Jordan), and Kelsey (Ben). Her greatest joy was being a Grandma to Beau and Tate Lidia. Predeceased by parents Johanna and Ron Oglan and in-laws Barb and Don Dawson. Loving sister to Wendy, John (Renee), David, Ron (Kathy) and sister-in-laws Teresa and Sandra. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, life long friend Heather, and her constant companion, her dog Bailey.

Deanna was an avid cook, she loved to travel, shop, play bingo, and decorate; no one was surprised when you arrived at her house and there was a different colour on the walls from the last time you visited. She was always the ultimate host who could feed a small army single handedly, have everyone’s favourites, and enough leftovers for everyone to take home. Her greatest passion came from her 40 plus years career as a hairdresser. She owned a number of shops and maintained a career long list of devoted clients.

We would like to thank oncology nurses Julia and Melissa for their exceptional care of Deanna and our entire family as well as a special thank you to Dr. Erfun Hatam for his attentive care and compassion.

Memorial visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Jackson Oglan Memorial would be greatly appreciated.
