Obituary of Linda Pursley
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Pursley on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 63 years of age. She has reached her final destination, joining her beloved husband Scott. Together, they will embark on a forever journey, filled with love and laughter. Proud mother of Brandon (Stephanie) and Colton (Jessica) and loving Gma to Zander, Lucas, Madilyn and Zoey. Born to John and Marion McAviney (both predeceased), and sister to Johnny McAviney. Caring daughter in-law to Murray and Joyce Pursley (both predeceased), and sister in-law to Cathy (Steve) Beacham and Janet (Chris) Beachey. Dear friend to Shelley Williams and Durwood Gould (predeceased). Linda will be forever remembered by many friends, nieces and nephews, colleagues, clientele and other relatives. She will be leaving many broken hearts behind as she was cherished by so many.
Linda took pride in being the best wife, mother, sister, friend, and Gma anyone could hope for. Her children were her biggest accomplishment in life and she loved them dearly. She cared deeply for people and always wanted the best for her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved them fiercely. Second to family and friends, travel was her life! She lived a great life of adventure, enjoying new places with her husband Scott and her friends and family. Linda enjoyed golfing, wine, live theatre and organizing amazing trips. She would often have the next trip planned before the end of the current one. She truly treasured each and every trip, never taking for granted the beautiful places she got to see and the beautiful people she got to see them with. She was a world traveller and it is a great comfort to know that a little piece of her is left on many places here on earth.
Linda was always full of life. She lived life vibrantly and things were never dull in her presence. She was the life of every party, the joy in every smile. She loved being with people and hosting. Whether it was enjoying a delicious meal, playing farkle or horseplay with friends, or playing backgammon in the backyard with Scott, she enjoyed every moment to the fullest.
Linda worked at Key Tours, Live ENT, and Great Adventure Tours during her career in the travel and tourism industry. Her passion for travel led her to be well known in the travel community and we know she will be missed by many far and wide. Linda was a spectacular woman who lived a great life.
