
Obituary of Roger Allen Cudmore
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Allen Cudmore, on March 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 22, 1942, in Chatham, Ontario, Roger was the cherished son of Arthur and Shirley Cudmore.
Roger was the devoted husband to his beloved wife, Shirley Cudmore (nee Reid), with whom he shared 39 wonderful years with. Roger’s legacy is carried on by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Cudmore (Tom), of Windsor, and his role as a second father to Sandra Roth of Chatham. He also took immense pride being the grandfather to their beloved fur baby, Gronk. Roger is also survived by his sister, Lynn Johnstone, and numerous family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Roger’s life in Chatham was marked by his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. He enjoyed various hobbies, including NASCAR and scary movies, which were indicative of his vibrant personality. Professionally, Roger dedicated many years of his life to Union Gas, where he worked diligently until his retirement.
Roger's legacy of kindness, humor, and passion for life will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley (2012), and his brother, Richard Cudmore (2024), both of whom he missed dearly.
A visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235) on March 11, 2025 from 3 pm - 5 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm. Visitation will continue on March 12, 2025 from 10 am until time of Funeral at 11 am. Private interment to take place at Morpeth Cemetery in Chatham, Ontario.
