
Obituary of Constance Elizabeth Trinier
Constance “Sandy” Elizabeth Trinier passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on March 11, 1944, in Windsor, Ontario, she was the cherished daughter of Gordon and Catherine Trinier (nee Learne).
Constance was known for her boundless energy and her commitment to her loved ones. A busy-body at heart, she was always the first to lend a helping hand, providing support and encouragement to those around her.
Her family was the center of her universe, and she took great pride in being a nurturing mother to her two sons, Shannon (Shelly) Barrett and Shane (Carla) Barrett. Constance's legacy will live on through her four adored grandchildren: Ashley, Tyler, Connor, and Kelly-Marie, as well as her great-grandchild, Ryder. She also leaves behind two beloved nieces, Alicia Brown and Catherine (Matt) Roung. Constance's was predeceased by her dear siblings, Kelly and Jill.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Constance's interests included hockey, baseball, and broomball. She was a trailblazer in her community, being a proud member of the first competitive women's hockey team. Her love for sports reflected her competitive spirit and tenacity. Constance had a deep love for animals constantly wanting to protect and care for strays.
In addition to her athletic pursuits, Constance proudly served in the military, a testament to her courage and commitment to her country. Her service reflects a life devoted to the values of duty and sacrifice.
