Carol and Family
There is an expression that a picture is worth a thousand words. When I saw the photo of Andy that was used for his obituary, his picture said it all. There are no words that I could use to describe Andy's character to give him justice.- To me, he photo is an embodiment of what Andy was all about. A happy go lucky guy who enjoyed life and always greeted you with a smile, a handshake, and a kind word..
My sincere condolences on the passing of Andy.

Oh no….so sorry to hear that Andy is off on his “final adventure” Carol! He truly was a GIANT of a man….an excellent educator
a great mentor and huge advocate of children. How he loved to tell everyone what his children were up to and how lucky he was to have Carol by his side. His laugh was infectious his presence always celebrated. Thank you Carol, Terry , Chris and Andy for sharing him with all of us, he will truly be missed but NEVER forgotten!

My favourite memory of my sweet Uncle Andy, is from way back in grade school. He would be walking around my school with my principal, and when he got near my class, he would say, "Where's my favourite niece?". I would raise my hand, and with all the other kids watching, because this important man was walking around with the principal, he would say, "there she is" and scoop me up and hug me. In those times he made me feel special and important. But not only then, whenever he would ask me how I was, he would truly listen and show concern and offer advise, you knew you were special and that he really cared. I will miss that the most and of course, how he was always joyful. Even though I knew that he called all my sisters his favourite niece, I will always believe in my heart that I am his favourite niece. Love you Uncle Andy. Elaine

Dear Carol and family, deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of your loved one. I met Mr. Solet- Andy when he taught me in grade 7 at ICS. Loved his artistic style and love of music. Yes, It was always a good time when Andy was around. Went to his office often, well, sent to his office often!
Met his little rubber strap once at the 20th visit. We loved each other like father and naughty daughter as he was a good listener and caring principal. Rest in heavenly peace dear soul who was loved by so many people. Will see you in heaven, at a much later date, hopefully! Jennifer Nassr

Uncle Andy always had a smile to share and was there for all the important moments. Even if we didn’t see each other often, he made it known how much love he had for our family and we loved him very much. I can hear him saying “Hi, sweetheart.” We love you Uncle Andy.

Dear Carol and Family,
This is such sad news to hear of this afternoon. Andy will be sorely missed by all who had the great pleasure to meet and know him. He went out of his way to engage others in conversation and always made others feel valued within these enjoyable encounters. What a people person he was! Many teachers, students and their parents who ever knew Andy will also share in this same sentiment.
As neighbours on Ellis, living behind Carol and Andy, we will miss his friendly wave and his humorous comments to us as he attended his barbeque. It was always enjoyable to be at the same table at our yearly Willow Ridge Christmas dinner with Carol and Andy. Humour was his specialty.
Andy's kindness and his legacy will continue to live on within his sons and grandchildren. May the memories of your many treasured vacations help all of you through this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are sent with our love, Greg and Dorothea Bryant

Andy was one of my Dad’s closest friends, he loved every moment with him. He was like a great uncle to my brothers and I. What a character, always asking how you were doing and always had a zinger joke for you. Andy took my Dad’s place in the Killen Cup golf outing last year, and it’s something my brothers and I will never forget. I will miss him dearly, he is an example of the kind of person you’d like be. God Bless you buddy.
