CIANCIO, Francesca (nee Tedesco)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Francesca, a loving Mother, Nonna and Bis-Nonna, on February 18, 2025, at the age of 88. Reunited with her beloved husband Giuseppe (2001). Loving and devoted mother to Rocco and Maureen of Calgary, Tony and Stella of Kingsville, and Sandra Reid and Steven of Windsor. Cherished Nonna to Nicolas, Andrew, Chloe, T.J. and Serafina, and Bis-Nonna to Joey, Lincoln, Bennet and Rosaleigh. Predeceased by parents, Sebastiano and Triestina Tedesco, and sister Maria Christina and Tony Ribaudo and their surviving family. Francesca was a retired employee and Union Steward at Hotel-Dieu Hospital after many years of dedicated service. She will be remembered for being a hard-working woman and wonderful caregiver to her late husband and her family. Francesca enjoyed cooking home made meals and baking bread for her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors where she attended to her vegetable garden and flowers. She was also known to be a talented knitter who spent countless hours knitting sweaters, scarfs and gloves for her family members. In her later years, Francesca transitioned to Amica Riverside where she made many long-lasting relationships and enjoyed making an annual lasagna with her best friend Anina to help support the Downtown Mission. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Amica Riverside for their compassionate and exceptional care provided to Francesca over the last 6 years. Also, many thanks to Dr. Bagga and the staff at the Kidney Clinic for their continued care provided to Francesca. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
