DeGuire, Roger
Son of the late Armand and Laura (Dorey) passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Brother of the late Armand Jr. and Carol (Gelinus), Margarette Santarossa late (Marino), Annette Scurr late William (Bill), Gilbert DeGuire late Val (Theaker). Husband of Dorothy (Dot) Emery. Father to the late Timothy, Edward and friend Rhonda. Served my God as an altar boy, my Country in the Canadian Army, my fellow City as a Boy Scout Leader, 35 Troop, 61st for 25 years, and as Venture Advisor 35 Ventures, and a Squire Leader. Member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree (MPB Council) and 4th Degree Fr. Alphonse Kerkhaert Assembly. Was involved with the WVMSC for 27 years as Sergeant at Arms. He enjoyed woodworking for a pastime. He had over 40 Veterans and Comrades in his front yard for November 11 Remembrance Day for the last 45 years.
Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A legion service under the Auspices of WVMSC will take place at 7:00 p.m. K of C prayers to follow at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd). Cremation to follow and burial of cremated remains will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery at a later date.
