Obituary of Nancy Margaret England (nee Leith)

The family of Nancy Margaret England is gratefully remembering their beloved matriarch, who passed away suddenly and peacefully on December 28, 2024 in the comfort of her home. Nancy enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, George England. Bringing so much joy to her life were their children, Nancy (John) Sulja and Bill (Beth) England and her grandchildren Olivia (Danijel), Emma, Grant and William, who they affectionately called ‘Ginn-Ginn’. Nancy is also survived by extended family members including her niece, Amanda Bradley (Jim), several cousins in Great Britain, and many friends. She is predeceased by her parents William (1949) and Agnes (1982) Leith and her sister Mollie (2014) and brother-in-law Mike (2023) Bradley. Born at Grace Hospital in Windsor, Nancy was extremely proud of both her Scottish ancestry and her Canadian roots. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher and it was at Walker Public School that she and George met in 1963. After choosing to dedicate her time as a mother and housewife for years, she returned to education, teaching ESL to adults. Nancy was also an avid gardener and cook/baker and loved to knit hats, gloves and scarves for family members. She volunteered for various groups, including the May Court Club of Windsor, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and later Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel - South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Ave (519-253-7236). A private service has been held for immediate family and a celebration of life will take place in the spring. Those who wish may leave messages of condolence for the family at www.windsorchapel.com.
