Sharon,
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. You and Duncan were and are a huge part of our lives and we will miss him terribly but remember him fondly. Helping build the cottage, generous with countless gifts and reliably offering advice both good and "Duncan-style blunt" a with a smile, a laugh and a beer are all things that endear Duncan in our hearts.
Sending you our love.
Deirdre, Mark, Basil and the Mariotti Roberts kids.

We have fond memories of our times with the Hinds. From enjoying the annual ice rink, cabbage patch doll parties, maniacal skateboard tricks to the many happy parties and neighbourhood events our times together were integral to our lives. Duncan was always upbeat, full of ideas and never met a household problem for which he couldn’t find a solution. While more than a quarter century has passed since we lived across from each other, we were saddened to learn of his passing. Our thoughts are with you all as you bear this loss.

Our condolencses to the Hind family at the loss of Duncan. Like most local sailors, I relied on Duncan's sage advice. When we were transitioning from Blew Bye U, our C & C 25, to Obsession, our 33, Duncan had a client looking for a size 25 boat, and he bought ours. The first time winterizing Obsession, Duncan advised that I needed to have a winter cover made to protect the boat. Even though I protested, explaining it had not had a winter cover for years, I had one made and had to eventually admit that he was correct. On other occasions he repaired my spinnaker pole and re-threaded the outhaul on my boom. His usual kindness and generosity shone through as ALL these services were provided at no cost to me. Thank you Duncan, for all you did for everyone in the sailing community in Essex County. You will be sorely missed.
Sincerely, Bill Frank and Lee Anne Doyle

very sorry to hear this news, condolences to the family. I remember Duncan well from South Port. We bought our Mirage 24 from him when he was at Dockside, and continued to support him at The Ship's Wheel. Great times racing against his C&C 25 "sleeper".
he will be missed.

Condolences to the Hind family. Duncan was a great guy and a good friend. From Hugh Beaton school right to Southport Sailing. Got to know Duncan from our friendship on Pelee Island. Always enjoyed a cool brew enjoying friendly banter with him. Fun guy to be with. We will miss him.

He was such an amazing person. I have countless cherished memories of his helpful nature at the "Ship's Wheel," and our conversations about sailing on Pelee Island. He was a legend in the sailing community, always bringing positive vibes wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed. His comforting words when my dad passed away meant a lot to me. I wish his loved ones the same comfort, knowing how much he was appreciated by me.
I hope this version conveys your thoughts with warmth and clarity. If you need further adjustments, just let me know.
