Anthony (Tony) Peters passed away peacefully into eternal life January 21, 2023, at the age of 103. Reunited with his loving wife Dorothy (2007). Loving father to Marlene Kolody (Mo) and Marilyn Renaud (Gord). Cherished grandfather to Kathy Beuglet (Tim). Dave Kolody (Corinne), Monica Renaud, Heather Girard (Andre). Treasured great grandfather to Nicole Beuglet – Surlin (Stephen), Ryan Beuglet (Lanna), Katie, Jack, Lauren Kolody, Isabelle, and Genevieve Girard. Brother to Gladys Hebert. Brother in Law to Frances Peters and Madeleine Peters. Predeceased by Rose Barsona, Wilfred Peters, George Peters, Marie Rice, Mike Peters, Jennie Dunn, Louis Peters, and John Peters.
He retired from Dominion Stores where he worked as Store Manager for many years. At the age of 88, he became a dedicated volunteer at the Windsor Cancer Center and Lakeshore St. Andrew’s Church, where he volunteered until he was 100 plus years. Special thanks to Dr. Marguerite Chevalier, the volunteers and staff he worked with at the Cancer Center, the Nurses on 6N Met Campus, the Palliative care team at Hospice, and Paramed nurse Jen who all showed him love and compassion.
A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (central chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 3- 7 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10 am. Reverend Chuck Congram will be officiating. Following the funeral service, an interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, 5005 Howard Ave. In memory of Tony, donations can be made to the Windsor Hospice or Windsor Regional Cancer Foundation.
